Library
The library plays vital role in the formation of a student. It is a window that opens the mind of the student to the world. Therefore we highly encourage the students to make the best use of the school library.
AAPS is equipped with a fully furnished Library accommodating more than 5000 books. The students of classes IV to XII are members of the library. Membership cards are issued by the librarian in the month of June every year. The library and reading room will be opened from 9.00 a.m. to. 1.30 p.m. and from 2.00 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. on all working days.
Library Rules
- Strict silence should be observed within the library, reading room and premises.
- Personal belongings or books are not allowed to be taken inside the library or reading room. A note book or a paper may be taken inside the library for the purpose of writing down notes from the reference books.
- Students of Class IX to XII may borrow two books at a time. Library cards are not transferable. Anyone found lending his / her to others may have to return the card to the Librarian.
- Books are issued for two weeks at a time. They must be returned on the due date. Books for which there is immediate demand will not be re-issued.
- If a student fails to return borrowed books on time, he/she will have to pay a fine of Rs. 5/- for each week of overdue.
- Students are responsible for the books borrowed on their cards. Any damage to the books should be pointed out at the time of borrowing and the signature of the librarian should be obtained. Loss of books or any damage detected at time of return will have to be made good by the students.
- In case of loss of library card, a duplicate card can be had, only on payment of a penalty of Rs. 10/-
- Books are issued or taken only during the working hours of the library.
- Those who fail to abide by the rules will be deprived of the privilege of using the library.
